TwitterThis month we’re focusing on Twitter.

With roughly 6 million users, Twitter is the third largest social networking site. (MySpace and Facebook have bigger communities). A microblog, Twitter allows users to “tweet” in short 140 character sound bytes and is the perfect tool for filling in the “what are you doing” field of Facebook, MySpace and other sites. Twitter is used by major corporations to sell goods and services and by savvy builders to sell homes – or at least promote incentives, build brand and engage consumers and influencers.

Twitter is so popular that numerous applications have been developed for it including TweetDeck, Twhirl and many others. More on Twitter.
